Unintentional Surfing

I was not intending on doing any explicit Cheese Surfing last night, however, I unwittingly went for a surf by eating a large pizza shortly before bed, which was stacked with Mozzarella.

The results were the most bizarre and out there experience I've had since starting to log my dreams.

Cheese: Mozzerella

This dream started in some sort of book club or maybe a film club. There were a lot of people there and it was being chaired by Heather Locklear, who I found dull and pretentious. Mind you, this is my true opinion of her (she married that tit Sambora from Bon Jovi - an utterly shite band).

I'm not sure where we were, but it was a long way from home as I was staying in a hotel. There was this woman from work there who I really can't stand and she started heading back to the same hotel, but luckily I managed to give her the slip.

I got back to the hotel which was really big and really plush. I also seemed to have picked up a seriously sexy Asian bird - she was wearing a suit and was really hot. I checked into the hotel with the Asian girl - this wasn't by intention it just sort of happened.

We headed off to our room, we were going to get in a lift, but instead headed round the corner and seemed to go through a maze of corridors and stairs to find our room. The room seemed to be hidden, as we needed a ladder to get into it.

I climbed the ladder and went into the room, it was strange, because I had to climb the ladder to get in, but then dropped down into the room. It had bunk beds and a nice bathroom. It didn't look like a hotel room. There were posters of footballers all over the walls.

It was strange because they were footballers from the 90s, there was Peter Schmeichel, Robbie Fowler and a massive one of Gary McAllister. Once I started looking closely at these posters, they started moving, particularly the one of Gary McAllister, who seemed to be making a typically forthright run through the midfield for Leeds. I can't remember what the Asian girl was doing at this point.

The next day, I headed out of the hotel (the Asian girl seemed to have disappeared by this point) and went for another meeting of the book/film club, but this one was in a field somewhere, it was a not sunny day. After a while, I got bored of Heather Locklear prattling on and decided to head off.

I walked back to town - it was a really long way through the countryside, but on a dead straight path, so I could see all the way back to the field from several miles down the track. I got back to the edge of town and seemed to find myself in some American teen drama TV program, as I was surrounded by hot women who couldn't act, and were all about 27 despite playing 16 year olds.

I hung around for a while and then went into an out house. There were a couple of fireman there who were testing out some new fire suits and a new hose. They were testing out the waterproofness of the suits by taking it turns to power hose each other. This looked awesome and I had a go. I remember being sent flying across the room by this hose, but inside the safety of the suit it was great fun!

Blue Vein Waves

I had a seriously intense experience riding some sky high rich creamy blue vein Saint Agur waves. So good in fact, it was impossible to keep track of each distinct dream as they mashed together in sea of creamy blue mould.

Cheese: Saint Agur (approx 50g)

Dream 1

At the time this dream was very intense and vivid, but it became difficult to accurately recollect as it was the first dream of the night, and there were many more intense dreams afterwards.

It was again in a forest, and seemed to be based on what looked like some kind of track, maybe a mountain biking or motor cross circuit. I was with Helena Bonham Carter who was kitted out in full BBC period drama regalia, she was also talking like Lady MacBeth.

I think we were being chased around this track and we seemed to go round it time and time again, although her enormous period drama dress meant our speed was significantly hampered. Thank God William Baldwin wasn't with us urinating up against trees.

Whatever was chasing us never caught us, and eventually we ducked off the track and through the trees. We came out of the trees and were at some sort of very large open air concert or maybe a festival. We walked across the field to take a closer look.

We climbed a tree still some way from the stage to get a better view. The period drama costume was again problematic in getting Helena up the tree. Once we were in the tree watching the concert, I suddenly became aware that the tree was on the edge of a cliff, and there was a huge drop in front of us. This freaked me out rather a lot.

I climbed down from the tree and made my way to another stage (I can't remember if Bonham Carter was in tow at this point, to be honest she was starting to annoy me anyway). I made my way on to what I think was some sort of viewing platform.

The viewing platform seemed to consist of a load of vertical scaffolding poles, each with a metal plate attached, so I had to hop from plate on this platform which was impractical. Also given that there seemed to be huge drop below, quite dangerous. I don't remember any more of the dream beyond this point.

Dream 2

This dream was really bizarre. I was single handedly defending Castle Greyskull from attack - I'm not sure if it was under attack from Skeletor or someone else, but I was holding the fort. It was a bit strange because it didn't look like the Castle Greyskull I remember as a kid, but it was definitely Castle Greyskull.

The defences were elaborate and complex. There were a series of defensive walls, each getting progressively higher so it could shoot out over the one in front. Each wall had loads of cannons and slingshots which I was frantically running up and down and loading. I was mainly concentrating on one of the middle walls as moving between walls was too time consuming.

The attackers were off in the distance, I couldn't see who they were or what they were doing. I was also quite worried about defending the place on my own, but I kept loading as much artillery as I could. Eventually the army attacked and I had to wait until they were in range. Once they were in range I started firing the artillery at them. It was quite effective.

I had binoculars so I could see what damage I was doing. I fired one cannon and then watched the missile fly through the air through my binoculars. To my absolute delight it took Noel Edmonds' head clean off - absolutely ruining one of his vile bright shirts in the process.

This had a devastating effect on the morale of the army as they seemed to stop attacking and were all milling around wondering what to do without Noel Edmonds. I didn't let this put me off and kept firing at them. Eventually they just seemed to lose interest and wander off, my artillery fire seemed to be no more than a mild irritation as they apathetically ambled off.

Blue Cheese Recycling

Tried a new cheese with some very interesting results. Initial results with Saint Agur very promising I will up the dosage next time in hope of some seriously intense results. There was only one dream.

Cheese: Saint Agur (approx 50g)

I was on my way back from the dentist, I somehow managed to walk past my house and further up the road before realising I'd gone too far. I crossed the road to walk down to my house, and decided to go in the local library. There is no local library near my house, it appeared for the benefit of this dream.

I went in and it was a children's library and their were loads of kids running around and reading kids books. For some reason the MD of my company was there - Gerald, at which point I realised I probably should be at work. I nonchalantly said hello to him and pulled out my work lap top and started working.

Once Gerald had gone, I closed up my lap top and went home. Once I was in my house it was dark. I was upstairs when I heard a noise, which freaked me out. I looked out of the window to see a major recycling program going on next door. There were loads of people and lots of recycle bins and recycle trucks. People were sorting waste into different crates for recycling. The whole operation was being directed by Dermot Murnaghan, who seemed to be an expert in waste management.

I watched this for a while, and then my dad came over and we watched a rugby DVD.

Camembert Lucid Dream

Dream from Thursday night (only got round to writing it up now)

Only had a couple of lucid dreams before falling asleep properly.

Cheese: Camembert (approx 70g)

Dream 1

The dream was very short. I had a skipping rope round my neck and I was basically a human swing ball as the skipping rope handles flew round me. It didn't hurt at all and it was quite good fun.

Dream 2

I was playing table tennis with a girl I once played badminton with when I was about 15. She seemed to be able to hit the ball very hard as it flew past me at 100mph every time.

I've not scored this as it was too brief.

Glazed Camembert

My second recorded Camembert cheese surf was definitely more successful. The rich creamy mature Camembert, on this occasion, produced some very vivid visions. There was only one dream I can remember.

It should also be noted that the Camembert produced some excellent lucid dreams at the beginning of the night. Unfortunately I was already in a state of semi-sleep, so didn't make any notes and I had forgotten the lucid dreams when I woke up, beyond remembering that I came round from one thinking 'woah, that was intense!'

With more practice I hope to be able to train myself to take notes on my lucid dreams despite being in a state of semi-sleep.

Cheese: Camembert (approx. 70g)

The dream started in the back garden of a house. Although I'd not seen this house before, it was certainly familiar. I'm not sure who's house it was, it may even have been my house. There seemed to be some sort of summer party going on, there were lots of people there, and the weather was hot and sunny. My wife was there, as were my parents, I seemed to know the other people, but I'm not sure who they were.

Everyone was very nice and friendly and there seemed to be quite a party atmosphere. It felt like my party as everyone seemed to be talking to me - maybe it was my birthday, as my birthday is in the summer time.

After a while the party all moved on together, out of the garden and down the side of the house, a short walk brought us to a building on a corner. The building had a logo on it, that I recognised at the time, but can't remember now.

All the party goers filed into the reception area of this building where there was a man standing behind a small desk. We all queued up and proceeded to put in a bulk order for double glazing. We were doing this because we could get it much cheaper if we all bought it together.

When I got to the front of the queue I was talking to the guy, but I was trying to hide my face a bit because I had something on it, I'm not sure what though. It could have been food from the party (although I could have wiped this off), or maybe it was ink or maybe it was a cut or a bruise, I'm not sure but I was trying to hide my face, particularly my eyes.

After ordering the double glazing we all went back to the house where the party had started. I went into the house and my parents were having a dividing wall put up in the kitchen to divide the kitchen/diner into two separate rooms. This was quite bizarre given that it wasn't their house. What confused me most in my parents actual kitchen (in reality) they had a dividing wall taken out about 12 years ago. I kept asking them why they were having one put in, even though this was a different house.

I then went outside where everyone else was and went back to the end of the garden where the dream had begun. The party continued and people started taking photos, but this photo taking got out of hand as everyone started taking pictures of me like a paparazzi mob, and flash bulbs were going off like crazy. This made no sense to me and I was very confused and slightly blinded.

Camembert Reconnaissance

Initial results with Camembert are disappointing. I have had, in the past, some seriously intense experiences surfing Camembert, but not on this occasion.

I woke up at approximately 5am having had no clear dreams that I could remember, I then slept on and off until getting up, and I only recall one fairly fuzzy dream

Cheese: Camembert (approx. 70g)

The only note I made on waking up this morning was 'playing football with a tall German'. The German in question was indeed very tall, he had a habit of balancing the ball on top of his head, which meant not only could no-one get to it, but you couldn't actually see the ball as he was that tall.

I think he was the dad of a German guy I once worked with, although in reality this is implausible as he was only about 10 years old than my ex-colleague. The tall German (let's call him Klaus) scored a goal by shooting across the goal left to right (as you look at the goal), and slotting the ball into the bottom right corner.

Although it was right in the corner, it was travelling very slowly so the goalkeeper should have saved it. Unfortunately the goalkeeper was a guy I play with on a Tuesday who is one of the worst goalkeepers I've ever seen (he has been referred to as 'clingfilm hands').

The ball knocked some skittles over in the corner as it went.

Some other stuff happened in this dream but I can't remember it clearly.

Adventures in Gorgonzola

Dropped a large block of Gorgonzola before bed last night, had two dreams that I can remember, reasonably vivid, both quite strange.

Cheese: Gorgonzola

Dream 1

I was walking around a large building that was set in some nice grounds, with grass and trees. I walked into the building which turned out to be the derelict remains of a research institute I once worked at, although it had clearly moved as the research institute was on a tropical island, and I was definitely not on a tropical island.

I was not alone, I'm not sure who I was with but I think it may have been my wife and my dad, but I can't remember clearly enough. The building was very dark, and it was messy and decayed inside. There were notes that had been left for us. I'm not sure how I knew this, but they were written by dad's cousin, who also worked at the institute. I think I managed to work this out as the notes were quite long winded and choc-a-block full of incessant bad puns, which he excels in.

The notes guided us through the building, sending us upwards and we went up quite a number of floors (strange as in reality the institute only had a ground floor and a first floor). We got to the top and came out on a kind of roof terrace under brilliant sunshine. The dream ended at this point.

Dream 2

My wife and I arrived at an empty old house, that was apparently deserted. We were there to look around it as a potential house to buy and do up. When we walked in it looked a lot like my wife's grandmother's house (which incidentally I visited yesterday and is up for sale). It wasn't actually the same house but had a lot of the same decor.

An estate agent met us there and gave us the tour. In my notes (which I try to make as soon as I wake up), I've written something about super powers, but I can't remember what this refers to. I very vaguely remember something about a super click - some super power pertaining to some sort of clicking, but I can't remember anything more.

After showing us around downstairs, the estate agent encouraged us to have wander round for ourselves and we went upstairs. We walked into a room upstairs which was totally different to downstairs, like a normal modern house. Somewhat bizarrely there was a girl there who I went to school with. We were quite good friends when we were about 12, but I don't think I've seen her in about 15 years, so it was strange that she turned up. She was on the phone trying to organise some sort of party.

She got off the phone and I said hello to her, we had a chat and she explained she was organising a party, but her friend (another girl I was at school with when I was 12) was having a party on the same night. I said I'd phone the other girl and ask her if she wanted to have a joint party.

While I was on the phone to her, a black parrot which had been flying around anyway landed in front of me and started barking at me - proper dog barks. At which point a black dog, I think it was my parent's old dog (which died a couple of years back) came in and barked at the parrot. The parrot flew off and the dog hurtled after it, barking feverishly all the way.

In the meantime, I managed to arrange for the parties to be combined and everyone was going to come along and join in the fun.

Maiden Cheese Surf

This was my first cheese surf that had the explicit goal of being blogged on completion.

Cheese: Gorgonzola

Dream 1
I don't remember much of a 'plot' to this dream, I can only remember images. I was at some sort of canal or river, which seemed to be like a small dock, with lots of old buildings right on the banks of the river. It was something of a building site as several buildings were wrapped in scaffolding and tarpaulins. I was on the scaffold and there was a middle aged man and a much younger man working. I was doing some work with them but I don't remember what.

It started to get dark and I left them, they seemed to be staying there for the night. I walked over a bridge that went over the river. There was quite a lot of building material on this bridge, which was a pedestrian bridge. There was a large pile of bricks or various different shapes and sizes. They were stacked up, and one of the bricks at the bottom was loose. I pulled it out a little and was very surprised when the pile didn't collapse. I put it back in anyway.

I don't remember much else. I think this was a really interesting dream but I can't remember enough of it.

Dream 2
I was at the top of a hill that was covered in forest, I was being chased, the first thing I remember in this dream was running across a road away from people who were shouting. I think they were armed, I'm not sure if they were after me or if I was just trying to get out the way.

I was with William Baldwin and we were both trying to escape. I became infuriated because he kept insisting on stopping so he could urinate up against trees. I do not know if William Baldwin really has a weak bladder. We seemed to lose the people who were chasing us with relative ease by running down the hill.

Once we were out of imminent danger it seemed that William Baldwin was intent on urinating up against every tree in the forest. He's a strange man anyway.
